The project you are working on with the school on Lancashire sounds very interesting!
In terms of ideas for a shared project, there are numerous options. One idea might be to make a list of possible topics (set of 10 - 15 ideas) then have the students (and teachers) involved rate them and decide what themes they find most interesting.
Would the project be tied to a certain content area or is it just a 'general' topic?
I can send you some possible ideas and/or we can chat about this more when I'm at the school in a week or so :)

I'll do my best from this end and I hope you let me know about your discoveries.
I've established a link to a designated Language Specialist School in Lancashire (UK) and, at the moment we are exchanging students e-mails so that they can know each other better and we can visit them later during the next academic year. We, teachers in charge are trying to think about some ideas to developed a shared project that could be interesting for the students to learn about. Please, I would like to know your ideas.
