Profile Information
- Why are you interested in bilingual education?
- I am language teacher and teachers' trainer and researcher in educational field. The learning/teaching of a second language is one of the main thematic areas of interest for me together with intercultural dialogue and European dimension.
- What's your experience on bilingual education?
- I have organised training for teachers as far as the CLIL approach is concerned and participated in European projects about CLIL.
I am preparing a doctoral tesis about the profile of the subject teacher in CLIL teaching

I will be presenting in Milano more toward the end of the month on dyslexia. Of course, all of my work is concerned with language development and the use of authentic content and materials to forward cognitive and linguistic development. If you get a moment, perhaps we can speak.

I am located in Venice, Italy and would love to speak further with you regarding your work in CLIL. I dare to ask you if you can give me some contacts for content CLIL teachers in your area (I think you leave im Madrid) because I have got questionnaires from The Basque territory, from Aragon and Catalunia but I have no contacts in Madrdi. I'm afraid I still have to get myself a webcam, but I'll let you know when I do so that we can have a chat on Skype. I'm attaching the survey I've made for CLIL teachers in my area, in case you could find it helpful for what you're doing. It's in Spanish, so in your case that's not a problem. Re your questionnaire, perhaps what you can do is upload it onto the "Teachers' Needs..." group for anyone there to answer it; I've invited the teachers I've interviewed to join, so anyone interested could fill it in there.

Manuel has just left a message for me suggesting I should get in touch with you. I've been browsing your project website, and it looks really interesting.
I'm doing research on language needs for CLIL teachers, though it's a personal project and therefore on a much smaller scale: after interviewing people in 22 bilingual schools in my area (south of Madrid), I'm designing a questionnaire on language competences, selecting them from the CLIL Cascade scheme and taking into account the information gathered from the interviews.
As soon as the questionnaire is ready, I'll upload it onto the group's page for anyone to have a look at it.
I'll be pleased to share views with you.

I think your research project can be very interesting. You can create a group on this platform and invite members from this network or those teachers you like. You can upload your questionnaire to that group.
You must get in touch with Cleo Merino. She is doing research related to yours. She's made a group here where they are discussing about competencies needed by CLIL teachers.
