Exchange Teacher Programs

I was wondering if any of you have ever participated in an Exchange Teacher Program. I have been selected to teach next semester in Germany and the English teacher from that school will teach here. I am thrilled to be doing this. I just need to iron out a few more details, like purchasing International travel medical insurance since our US Medical insurance may not work there, finish filling out my work visa papers, and prepare my materials for the class. This should really help my German speaking skills and be a great cultural experience for me. Any good tips for me before I go? I can't wait to get started.
